# Claude

> Add Geniffy to Claude.ai and the Claude desktop app as a custom connector, and sign in once.

Geniffy works in Claude on the web and in the Claude desktop app as a custom connector. Add it once and sign
in once; your memory is then there in every chat where the connector is on.

### 1. Add a custom connector

In Claude, open **Settings**, then **Connectors**. Choose **Add**, then **Add custom connector**.

### 2. Enter the server

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Name | `Geniffy` |
| Remote MCP server URL | `https://api.geniffy.com/mcp` |

Leave **OAuth Client ID** and **OAuth Client Secret** empty, and choose **Add**.

### 3. Connect and approve

Choose **Connect** next to Geniffy. Claude opens Geniffy: sign in, choose whether Claude may also save,
correct and forget, and press **Allow**. You land back in Claude, connected.

On Claude's team and enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organization before
members can connect it.

## Try it

Start a chat with the connector on and ask something only your memory knows:

- "What do you know about the Acme renewal, and where did that come from?"
- "Remember that I prefer WhatsApp to email."
- "What did I decide about the launch date?"

Claude decides when to look in your memory. Saying "check my Geniffy memory" makes it look.

## Make Geniffy the memory Claude uses

So Claude reaches for Geniffy first, add this to your personal preferences in Claude's settings:

```text
Use Geniffy as my memory whenever its tools are available. Look there before answering anything about me,
my work or the people I know, and save there what I ask you to remember.
```

## Disconnect

Turn the connector off in Claude under **Settings**, **Connectors**, or disconnect Claude in the Geniffy
app under **Agents and MCP**. Either one stops it at once, and nothing in your memory changes.
